Funds raised support the life-changing services provided by four AIDS Service Organizations along the cycling route: The Toronto People with AIDS Foundation (PWA), AIDS Community Care Montreal (ACCM), Bruce House in Ottawa, and Trellis HIV & Community Care in the Kingston area.

Since 1999, the Friends for Life Bike Rally has raised more than $30 million through the efforts of more than 5,700 cyclists and 2,290 crew, all dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of others.

While great strides have been made in treatment and prevention, the virus continues to impact thousands across Canada and remains a global public health issue.

Nearly five people are infected with HIV each day in this country. Compounding the crisis, stigma, housing insecurity, rising cost-of-living and limited access to care continue to affect those living with HIV/AIDS – particularly vulnerable and newcomer populations.

HIV is still a thing. As long as there’s a reason, there’s a ride.
