Hey awesome riders! My name is Tim (he/him) and I'm excited to be a team captain with Anthony this year. This will be my 5th year on the Bike Rally and 3rd year as a captain.
My experience with the Bike Rally has been consistently wonderful. Every year I've met new friends and grown closer to old friends. I'm always delighted by how much riders are there for each other, especially within teams. There is always so much love and support - from our first socials right through the weekend in Montreal.
As Team Captains, we are looking to provide a welcoming and fun space for new an experienced riders alike. We want to make sure that your experience is the as memorable and fulfilling for you as it can be.

Hi, I’m Anthony (he/him)! I’m very much looking forward to my ninth Bike Rally, and fourth time as a team co-captain this summer.
What first started as a challenge to myself, to see if I could do it, has turned into an important part of my life. And time and again I have seen the same thing happen to so many other Bike Rally folks. You get hooked - on the fun, on the challenge, on the community and friends you make, on the cause we support and the knowledge that we’re doing good work - and it becomes a part of who you are.
What I love about being a captain is having the opportunity to help shape the experience for others, especially first-time riders. I also love seeing other team members bring their own varied gifts and unique abilities to the team, whatever they are, because the Bike Rally is a welcoming place for everyone.

Hi everyone. I’m Grant, and I have no idea if I’ll be a good captain.
This is my second-year riding, and last year from day one it was…heavy. Being from Ottawa I only knew maybe four people? And it was wet -so very, very wet. On day two I didn’t know if I’d do the ride again. But then my team gelled; we laughed, we talked smack, bottles were passed around, and the days were spent riding with lovely people!
The ride gives in ways that are hard, but also delightful. When Jordan asked me if I would help him captain a team, after I got over the initial surprise (me, really?), I knew it was a chance to give back, so here we are! As your captain, I’ll be there to help however I can before and during the ride. See you soon!

Hello! I’m Jordan (he/him), and I’m honoured to be entering my 8th year with the Friends for Life Bike Rally, and my 4th year as a team co-captain.
2024 was an unforgettable year—one that left me deeply moved by the camaraderie, kindness, and commitment shared by my teammates and the entire rally family.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to help lead a new team focused on inclusivity, playfulness, and a love of biking. We’re not just here to ride—we’re here to raise essential funds for PWA, Trellis, and ACCM. I’m here to support my teammates in achieving their fundraising goals and making an impact along the way.
I’m thrilled to be co-captaining alongside Grant—a top notch human who has so much to teach us all. Together, we are ready to motivate and guide our team to another meaningful year.
And here we go 2025!!

Hey Everyone! I’m Josh, and I’m beyond excited to be stepping into the role of Team Captain for this year’s Friends for Life Bike Rally.
This is my fourth year riding, and let me tell you, I am hooked! The rally has truly changed my life in so many ways—it's pushed me both physically and mentally, and most importantly, it’s given me a sense of community that I never expected. Along the way, I’ve met incredible people and created memories I’ll cherish forever.
Whether you’re a seasoned rider or this is your first rally, just know we’re all in this together! My goal is to make sure you have an amazing, fun experience while we ride toward our goal of raising critical funds and awareness for this incredible cause. We’ve got a mission, but we’re also here to enjoy the ride, build friendships, and support each other every step (or pedal) of the way.
Let’s make this year unforgettable!
-
Hi! I’m Kyle and this will be my fourth year doing the bike rally. If you’ve made it this far and are wondering if you should sign up, the answer is yes! I joined my first rally after meeting a cute guy at a backyard pride party in June who, within 15 minutes, easily convinced me to sign up.
This experience totally changed my life and I’m so grateful that I gave myself the opportunity to try something new and say yes! That cute guy is now my boyfriend and I’m surrounded by the best friends I could ever imagine.
As a captain, I want to build a sense of community, where we can laugh about how much our legs hurt after day one and cry about how beautiful it is to connect with everyone. Josh is one of my best friends and I’m SO excited to be co-captains with him.
We welcome everyone to join our team and will provide a supportive and inclusive bike rally experience.

Hello Cyclists I'm Michael (He/Him) 2025 will be my 15th year as a
participant in the Bike Rally and my 5th as a Team Lead.
This event has become part of my DNA over the years, it's hard to
imagine what summer would be like without it.
Friends for Life is the perfect name for this event as I’m still
friends with teammates from my first year.
I described that year as the best event I had attended in my entire
adult life and I’ve returned every year since.
My aim as a captain is to help create a fantastic bike rally
experience for everyone. Expect plenty of fun socials, team rides, &
an awesome team name/swag, along with support for your training,
fundraising, and camping as needed. -
Hello, I am Rob Veinott (He/Him) and I am really excited to be riding for my 15th year and my first as a team captain along with my friend Michael Shreve. I have gained so much by my participation in the event. I love the beautiful training rides near Toronto, I love the idea of going for a bike ride on a weekend morning with my friends and I have loved the many teams I have been on over the years. Thats a lot of love but if you have participated in the event, you will know what I’m talking about and if you are a new rider I guarantee you will feel it.
As a team captain I hope that we have fun together preparing for and during the event. I look forward to being with you at team socials and hopefully helping you put the fun in fundraising. And I hope you will help make this year’s event the best ever. And I will try to make sure to not get lost during the training rides but if I do and you follow me, we will be lost together :-).

Well, you know my name is Simon (He/Him). This will be my fourth year cycling from Toronto to Montréal in the Friends for Life Bike Rally. Each year has meant new friendships, and yes, Bike Rally like life really is about the friends you meet along the way.
I love cycling, I love the joy in this event, and I love the support provided by the Bike Rally, through its community partners like the PWA, Trellis and ACCM, for so many people with so much need.
Looking forward, I'm so excited to lead a team where we're looking to have fun, support each other, laugh and most importantly work together on the incredible journey that is the F4LBR!
-
Hey everyone! I'm Michelle (she/her), and I’m super excited to be heading into my second year on the rally and my first as a Team Captain!
Last year, what really stuck with me about the F4LBR was the amazing friendships and the incredible sense of community. From day one, everyone was so welcoming and supportive—my team especially! That experience made me want to step up as a captain this year so I could give back a bit of what I got in my first year.
As your captain, my goal is to make this rally unforgettable for all of us. I can’t wait to plan some fun get-togethers so we can bond before the big event, support you with your fundraising efforts, and just be here to help in any way I can.
Looking forward to an awesome F4LBR 2025 together!

Hello! My name is Jeff, and this is my third year in a row riding with Friends for Life, and my first year as a captain. F4L is truly a life changing experience in so many ways, and the people you meet really do become friends for life. It is my goal as a captain to pay forward the support and inclusivity that previous captains and fellow riders have given me. P.S. I am also a history nerd so I'm full of fun facts about the cute 19th century Ontario towns we'll be riding through!
-
Hi!!! My name is Michael and I truly couldn’t be more thrilled to (hopefully) be your team captain this year!! I credit many of the great things that have happened to me over the past couple of years to the friends for life bike rally - including making some of my best friends, some of my favourite memories, and experiencing some really beautiful, eye opening and heart warming moments that will stick with me for life, and I can’t wait to make more and share them with you this year!

Hi, I’m Craig (he/him)
Embarking on my fourth Friends for Life Bike Rally, I’m thrilled to step into the role of team captain for this incredible journey from Toronto to Montreal. Riding in support of The Toronto People with AIDS Foundation has always been about more than just the many kilometers—it’s about supporting an amazing cause, fighting the stigmas surrounding HIV/AIDS, and building a stronger community of compassionate, like-minded individuals. As a nature lover and avid cyclist, I’m committed to creating a team environment that’s not only supportive but also inspiring, helping every rider—new and returning—make this experience unforgettable. Together, we’ll excel at fundraising, motivate each other, and build connections that last long after the ride.
-
Hi there,
Hi, I’m Jorge (he/him), and I’m beyond excited to be a team captain for the first time this year! This is my third rally, and it’s honestly been such an amazing experience that I couldn’t wait to get more involved and give back to this incredible community and cause.
I won’t lie—the rally is a challenge. But it’s one I’m so grateful I took on. From the wild, joyful moments to the quieter times of reflection, every single day of the rally has left me a moment I’ll never forget. It’s a wild, beautiful, life-changing rollercoaster on two wheels.
As your captain, my job is simple: to make this whole thing as fun, supportive, and rewarding as possible, and help you raise lots of funds for PWA. That means fun team socials, training rides that make us feel like superheroes, and an unforgettable rally week where we leave it all on the road. Our goal is simple: to make this rally as meaningful and memorable as possible.
Let’s do this, team! 🚴♂️✨

Hey all! I’m Trevor (he/him)! I cannot wait to embark on my 13th rally, and my 5th time being a co captain.
I joined the rally on its 15th anniversary with Starbucks bringing coffee to the riders and crew but very quickly decided I needed to try to ride the next year. Now entering the the 27th bike rally I’ve been a rider, motorcycle road support, food crew, steering committee and co-captain. The rally has become a staple of my summer, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I look forward to getting to know you all this summer as we train and then make our way to Montreal. Ride on!
-
Hey Peeps! I’m Stiva (he/him), and I’m stoked to be back for my 8th year with the Bike Rally!
Over the years, I've had the awesome privilege of diving into different roles—Crew, Rider, Ambassador, Captain and Sponsorship Lead—each one giving me a new perspective and so much joy. Every year is an adventure, and I’m thrilled to continue this incredible ride with you all.
This year, I’m teaming up with Trevor to make sure you’re feeling prepped, pumped, and totally connected as you embark on this epic journey—whether it's your first time or you’re a seasoned pro.
Can’t wait to meet each and every one of you! Let’s make this an unforgettable experience!

Hey yall! Super excited to be participating in the bike rally for a 6th year - third year captaining. Whether you’re a new rider or an experienced one, we have a place for you here. Josh and I represent the rally folks who are participating from outside the greater Toronto area. I am heading up the Montreal folks and am super excited to have a bit more for people participating from Quebec/Montreal. We will be doing some team socials (in Montreal and in Kingston) and training rides for both areas as well.
I’ve participated as a rider, captain, crew member so I am happy to help answer any questions for the variety of roles that come up on bike rally. Looking forward to meeting everyone :)

Hey everyone! I’m Josh (he/him) and I’m excited to be a team captain for a third year with Kevin. This year will be my fourth Rally Ride I have completed. I signed up the first year, as a non-cyclist and didn’t even own a bike. Through the support of other riders and training, I completed the ride and have been hooked since.
I’m looking to create an inclusive team of individuals (riders & crew) who primarily reside outside of the GTA, but welcome all to join the team. I have learned a lot over the years and look forward to sharing this knowledge and experiences to support individuals in having the best Rally experience possible.
I live in Kingston and will be leading training rides in this area and Kevin will be leading rides in Montreal. We will be hosting team socials virtually and in person in both Kingston and Montreal.
I’m looking forward to embarking on this adventure with you all.

Hola everyone! I’m Vini (he/him), but feel free to call me girl or chica — I might even return the favor ;)!
This year marks my second year in the rally and my first year as a Co-Team Captain! To say I’m excited would be an understatement, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little nervous too - having new challenges is a hobby of mine. I’m ready to give it my all, support our amazing team, and learn as much as I can along the way.
I can’t wait to see what this new adventure has in store for me and for our brand-new team.
Excited to share this journey with all of you.
Let’s make it an unforgettable year together!

Hey everyone, I’m Jason (he/him), and I’m so excited to be here with Vinni and all of you!
This is my third year riding in the Friends for Life Bike Rally and my first year as a captain. I joined during the rally’s 25th anniversary and was completely inspired by the incredible sense of community and shared purpose. The passion everyone brings to supporting PWA and giving back is truly contagious. I’m thrilled to be embarking on another amazing adventure with such a dedicated and inspiring group. Let’s make this year unforgettable!”
