PWA’s Friends for Life Bike Rally began in 1999 as a crazy idea between two friends. Since that first year, the Bike Rally has grown to become a marquee fundraising event in Canada – thousands of people have participated and they’ve raised over $16 million. The Bike Rally has become the sustaining fundraiser for the Toronto People with AIDS Foundation (PWA), and a beacon of light and hope in our community.
David Linton was one of those two friends and on this day we will honour his legacy as a Bike Rally Co-Founder, PWA Board Member, indomitable advocate for people living with HIV, and friend.
This year we’re inviting Bike Rally participants past and present, their family, friends, and everyone who believes in our cause and what we do to join us for a celebration of David’s legacy and all things “Bike Rally”. We’ll have 20 km and 55 km cycling options, road support just as we have on the Bike Rally, and pre-and post-ride festivities. A lunch menu will be available for purchase inside the Pub.
So come out on SUNDAY, JUNE 3rd and join us as we commemorate and celebrate what we’ve done and who we are.
