David Linton Memorial Ride – 54 km @ Keating Channel
Jun 3 @ 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

David Linton (1964‐2011) was the co‐founder of PWA’s Friends For Life Bike Rally and a long-time rider. A past board member of Toronto People With AIDS Foundation and supporter of the agency, David was committed to improving the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS in our community and this commitment and passion has shaped a Bike Rally that has endured and continues to grow.

Join us as we honour David with a 54 km training ride, setting off from the Keating Channel Pub & Grill, 2 Villiers St, Toronto. A Bike Rally social follows at the end of the ride, at the pub. This is a great way to wind down after the ride, refuel and get to know your fellow Bike Rally Participants and Crew.

Route Map will be available on March 31.

Jun 10 @ 9:30 am – 10:30 am

Every Sunday, 8:30 to 9:30 am, from now until Departure Day!

There are 30 bikes available, so you can Register for each class in person, 15 minutes before the start, and there will be lots of bikes available. (The Y requires this attendance list.)

A few notes:

  • arrive 15-20 minutes ahead of the class and proceed to the Reception Desk downstairs (level B1)
  • check inwith the Reception Desk (you will need to tell them that you are a Bike Rally participant there to attend Jack Coop’s class); you will be asked to present photo ID; then sign the signup sheet for the class at the Reception Desk, before you make your way to the locker rooms
  • bring your own lock and towel – bags, coats and boots are not permitted in the fitness spaces
  • once changed, walk past the same Reception Desk to get to the Cyclefit Room – it is only 30 feet away, on the way to the aerobic room
  • spin bikes have two-sided pedals: toe cages on one side permit the use of any kind of athletic shoe or sneaker; SPD clips on the other side fit compatible cycling shoes, to give you the most efficient, powerful and safest ride
Short-Turn Route: Warden-Roddick/Woodbine (45km)

Spinning at Torq @ Torq
Jun 12 @ 6:45 pm – 7:45 pm

Get “out” and ride with us!

Get an extra spin session in every month and join us at Torq on Queen St. E where we’ll make sure you spin your butts off! Instructors will lead the group on a high-energy, challenging and fun spin class, but there are a few things you need to know first:

  • Classes are $22 each and you must buy a pass for your class. Purchase your pass here.
  • Your fee will be credited back to your personal fundraising page. So every class you take actually means a $22 donation to PWA’s Friends For Life Bike Rally
  • The class will be a mix of Bike Rally participants and studio members, which is a great opportunity to help share your enthusiasm around the Bike Rally to new friends

Any questions, send a note to training@bikerally.org
