CMCC Injury Prevention Series @ Toronto People With AIDS Foundation
Mar 20 @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
The Bike Rally has had a close partnership with the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) for the past 7 years, and they will continue to have your back on the Bike Rally this year, as well as before the rally, helping riders and crew deal with aches and pains that crop up on the road. Be proactive and try to help prevent some of those aches and pains.
Please join Dr’s Donald Littlewood, Laura Thompson, Brian Wright, Janet D’Arcy and Jason Bonar for a series of information sessions on common cycling injuries, treatment and prevention strategies. All of our sessions will be facilitated by former CMCC Bike Rally interns, who are now practicing in the GTA. Our session on Wednesday, March 20th will cover neck and upper back pain associated with cycling. Come and learn about prehab and rehab strategies to treat neck and upper back pain associated with riding. The following sessions on April 17th, May 15th and June 12th will cover low back pain, knee pain and arm and hand injuries.

Bike Rally Expo! @ PWA
Mar 23 @ 10:30 am – 3:00 pm

The Bike Rally Expo is a one day event to check off some of those required seminars: the First Year Orientation and the Flat Fix Seminar. There will also be a speaker from HEAL Nutrition to talk about how you should manage your diet as you increase your training, as well as what to eat and drink on the bike.

The First Year Orientation and Flat Fix Seminars will be run twice each, at 10:45 and 12:30, and the Nutrition Seminar at 2pm. This will also be an opportunity for riders to try on the jerseys to make sure you get the sizing right. This all goes down at PWA at 200 Gerrard Street East on Saturday, March 23.
